Other Oslo activities
Snow sports or sauna visits might not be for everybody. Some of you may also want to stay in Oslo for a few more days. Here are a couple of other suggestions for places you should check out in Oslo!
Fairytale Opera
Our Opera house can be visited both on the outside (go for a walk on its roof) and the inside! On the Sunday (26th) at 16:00 they will perform the premiere of Hansel and Gretel, a fairytale opera!
Make sure to buy tickets in advance, the performance will probably be sold out!
Edvard Munch Museum
One of the typical tourist attractions if you’re in the mood for some art!
Here, you can experience the artworks of the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch. Most famously, they show his painting Scream.

Outland
This is our creative nerd shop - you will find everything from board games, LEGOs, plushies, posters, cartoons, fantasy, scifi and manga books here!

Paradox Museum
The Paradox Museum is a fun experience for all ageplayers! They play with your perception and give you plenty of photo opportunities!

Technical Museum
Our technical museum has several exhibitions, showing the technical history of Oslo - trains, planes, factories, computers, and physics demonstrations!

The Royal Palace
Norway is a monarchy. So the Royal Palace is where the King and the Queen live and work.
His Majesty the King’s Guard is tasked with guarding the royal family and residences. Normally, the main changing of the guard happens at 13:30 every day.
The Vigeland Sculpture Park
This is Oslo’s famous sculpture park, with the sculptor Gustav Vigeland’s works.
Come here to see Sinnataggen, The Fountain, The Main Portal, and The Monolith!

Akerselva
The Akerselva river splits Oslo in two - the west part and the east part. Start from Grønland and walk your way upward as far as you’d like - for example up until Torshov.
The trip will take you through the backyard area of Blå and Ingensteds (possibly with flea markets), Nedre Foss, Vulkan Street Food, steeper waterfalls, bridges and old factory buildings.
You can walk through the Grünerløkka on your way back!
Grünerløkka
This is the trendiest part of Oslo! It’s well-known for it’s numerous vintage shops, various cafés and bars.
Do you want to find a unique souvenir to bring home from Oslo? Maybe a new sweater? This is where you should go! You will find most of the places in the Markveien street.
Cocoa
You’re not a coffee drinker? While at Grünerløkka, check out Cocoa: Oslo’s very own hot chololate specialist café! Have a drink here, there’s a variety of taste options! (They do have coffee and tea as well.)

Ice skating at Spikersuppa
During winter, the water mirror at Spikersuppa freezes, and is made into an ice skating venue. You can rent skates on the spot. Go ahead, try some moves!

Brygg Oslo
Are you in the mood for a pub visit? Come here to enjoy a large selection of local and imported goods.
Opening hours: Monday-Thursday 14-01, Friday-Saturday 12-03, Sunday closed.
Oslo Street Food
This is a great option if you’re several people looking for a place to eat, but you want different restaurant styles! With 16 food stands and 4 bars, there are options for everybody, and you can still sit together.
Opening hours: Monday-Thursday 11-23, Friday-Saturday 11-03, Sunday 12-22
London Pub & Club
Despite its name, this place is in Oslo, and is our oldest and traditional LGBT venue. They have a basement dive bar, and upstairs two dance floors that are open on the weekends.
Are you hungry for more partying after the Saturday Main Ageplay Party at Nonna? If you’re part of the LGBT community, this is one of the places you could go to continue the night!

Scandinavion Leather Men Oslo
Do you have other kinks? SLM is a Men-only fetish bar in Oslo. They are only open during events, typically Fridays and Saturdays. Check their website for the calendar!
Note that there’s a strict dress code for most events.
